You have probably read on my about page where I said I am a third generation Christian.

My dad and mom are in ministry for almost 50 years now.

But, just because I am born in a pastor's family, doesn't mean I do not have to anything to secure my place in heaven! Salvation is individual based! Meaning, God saves a person when he or she places his or her trust in the Lord - personally!

I would go to Church as usual, but that was more for playing instruments. Or I would go to Church because I was concerned about what people would think about me because I am a pastor's son.

It was not until I heard or paid attention for the first time to Hebrews 11:6 - "Now without faith it is impossible to please God," is when I realized that I need to place my trust and faith in Jesus and accept Him as my Savior! That is when I became a "real" Christian, meaning someone who truly trusts in Jesus Christ.

But, placing trust in Jesus didn't make my life easy. I am declared righteous, yes; I belong to Him, yes; I am His child, yes; my eternal life is secure with Him, yes; but with all these, there is still what I have to go through (like you all) - life. Life is full of ups and downs; Christian life is a journey towards becoming holy, becoming like Him. Christian walk is not easy! So, we face many issues in our lifetime.

But, we should not worry. Why? Look at the following points:

  1. Scripture encourages us to TRUST in the LORD in Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding."
Scripture gives us security in 1 John 4:4 - "You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
  2. The Scripture tells us not to worry about anything in Phil. 4:6-7 - "Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
  3. While taking about prayer, Christ said that the Father knows about us, and what we need in Matthew 6:8 - "because your Father knows the things you need before you ask him."
  4. And finally (for now), why worry when we have the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah" with us! Rev. 5:5.

So, Christian life is difficult; having faith in God is difficult, yet this is what we need to do - to trust Him with OUR LIFE! Why? Because that pleases God; and our life should be all about pleasing God.

Live a life of faith and please God - because faith in God matters.

Therefore, Be Strong In Your Faith!
